Featured Program

Humanities Exposed (HEX) Program

The Humanities Exposed (HEX) program fosters collaborative projects in the humanities connecting University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate students with the broader Madison community-- public schools, after-school programs, neighborhood centers, community gardens, prisons, and more. HEX creates mutually beneficial partnerships between graduate students, who develop and implement projects related to their research, and local partners, who provide fresh insights and perspectives into the research topics and help graduate students increase their public impact. HEX aims to change the culture of UW graduate education by providing support to humanists and humanities departments in their efforts to become citizens of the wider community. Now in its fifth year, HEX upholds the belief that graduate students can make a real difference in Madison and in the state of Wisconsin by sharing their knowledge, resources and talents.
