Imagining America Publications: The Public Conversation

Newsletters biannually explore ideas in the field of civic engagement and provide information on gatherings, member projects, and grants. Colleagues in higher education and their partners, foundations, and state arts/humanities agencies share their thoughts on linking campus and community.

Foreseeable Futures is our series of keynote addresses, given at our annual conferences by higher education leaders and prominent public scholars.

Policy Papers such as Making Value Visible: Excellence in Campus-Community Partnerships in the Arts, Humanities, and Design; and Fostering the Work of University Artists and Scholars in Public Life, examine specific issues in the field.

Imagining America is hosted by Syracuse University. IA contributes through both national and local initiatives to SU’s touchstone philosophy, “Scholarship in Action.”
