Syracuse Initiatives: Engagement Fellowships

If you’re a senior, your Syracuse University experience doesn’t have to end at graduation. You may be eligible for an Engagement Fellowship—and the opportunity of a lifetime. Engagement Fellows receive a year of paid employment at a local company, a nonprofit organization, or as an entrepreneur in Central New York, along with remitted tuition for a year of graduate study at Syracuse University. It’s your chance to make a positive difference in Central New York—and in your own life.

Each year, five Engagement Fellowship scholars will be chosen to incorporate the principles of Scholarship in Action® in arts, technology, or design. They undertake year-long projects, for which local businesses and community partners are encouraged to provide additional funding and assistance. Syracuse University and community organizations will join together to provide financial support, remitted tuition, and professional partnerships to create an environment where individual fellows can thrive personally and professionally while benefiting the community in significant ways.
